After having an awesome year in Japan I'm back in the Netherlands again.
I learned so much this last year and I feel like I've found so many new perspectives on almost everything.
One of the things I've found is a new perspective on is my future.
I've realized that you only live once and that no matter how hard achieving something seems, if it's something you're really passionate about, you should go for it.
I'm passionate about animation, I've always been. I love how one can express an entire story within a medium where everything can be controlled and where every little decision can change the mood or message conveyed by a scene or an entire movie.
I've decided to enroll in an animation school in Belgium once I finish high school. Surprisingly, there are no special requirements for people to enter this school.
However, apparently the first year is so tough that about 80% of the students drop out. Yeah, some harsh numbers there.
That's why I'm trying my best to prepare. I'm reading lots of books on animation, practicing my drawing frequently, and expermenting with lots of different kinds of software. Naturally I'm also working on story setting and character development skills by writing and then writing some more.
Nonetheless, I'm still quite busy with school and won't always have the time or energy to practice.
So I'll be trying my best and whenever I create something decent I'll put it on DA and I hope that you guys will leave me some helpful feedback!
